Josh Munoz, Caroline Morrison, and Mia Shaw have achieved excellence in school and community life. Each Georgia Scholar receives a seal for their diploma.
Principal Shelley Tierce said, “Being named a Georgia Scholar reveals a high level of accomplishment for a high school student. To receive the designation, one must meet eight criteria total involving leadership, service, participation, and achievement in school, extracurriculars, and non-school arenas. We are extremely proud of these students and the successes they have achieved. We are proud of the positive influences they have made on our school and community; we expect great things from them as they continue to improve the world around them. These students truly embody the characteristics of success, and they model for others what it means to be highly motivated, engaged, responsible, and astute.”
Georgia Scholars are students who carried exemplary course loads during their four years of high school, performed excellently in all courses, successfully participated in interscholastic events at their schools and in their communities, and assumed leadership roles in extracurricular activities sponsored by their schools.
