PASTOR, COMMUNITY LEADER, VETERAN, AND REPUBLICAN KEN COOMER ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 14
COOMER HAS OVER $60,000 CASH ON HAND & BIG NAME ENDORSEMENTS
To continue his career of public service and leadership local Pastor, community leader, veteran, and committed Republican, Ken Coomer announced today that he will run in the Special Election for State House District 14.
Coomer will start the campaign with over $60,000 cash on hand and endorsements from numerous state and local leaders, including, House Speaker David Ralston, Senate President Pro Temp Butch Miller, Majority Leader Jon Burns, Majority Caucus Chair Matt Hatchett, Pastor Mike Abernathy, Adairsville Mayor KC Carson, Wayne Martin, and Stephanie Beasley (widow of Pastor John Beasley).
“After much prayer, discussion with my family, and wise counsel from local neighbors and leaders, I am excited to announce my campaign for State House. After a lifetime of service to others as a United States Marine, Pastor and counselor, and local leader, I am no stranger to getting the job done for my community. I’ve served in the trenches and I’ve faced the storms head on. When my neighbors have been in need, I have answered the call. Running for State House is my next call to service.
“When the devastating tornado hit our community in 2013 and nearly destroyed Adairsville, it was said that it couldn’t be rebuilt within the year. I ran to the problem, worked with the leadership of Bartow Disaster Relief, and with our neighbors, we rebuilt our town. We saved taxpayers tens of millions of dollars in the process. That’s the level of tenacity I will take to the State House to ensure our district receives the attention we need to grow good jobs, expand opportunity for future generations, keep families safe, reduce the size of government and lower taxes, protect our God-given rights and safeguard the values we hold dear. You have my word, with your prayers and support, I will work tirelessly to make a difference and make you proud.”
