According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, just after 8PM Justin Lee Wade, 27, of Rome was arrested and charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault. Wade was arrested in Floyd County and will be transferred to the Bartow County Jail for booking on these charges. It is still unknown what led to the shooting and it is still considered an active investigation.
More information and a mugshot will be released at a later time.
Deputies and first responders arrived on scene to find that a person had been fatally shot outside of a residence and another had been shot and ran from the scene. The injured person was transported to an area trauma center for emergency treatment. Both persons shot were male.
