Bartow County emergency crews were called to 24 Applewood Lane just after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. According to officials with the Bartow County Fire Department, the single-family home received extensive damage. There were no injuries and no one was home when the fire started. A neighbor said she was not aware when the fire started but the home appeared to burn quickly. The homeowner told WBHF he was too overwhelmed to speak about the fire but complimented the Bartow County Fire Department for working to quickly to extinguish the fire. According to Bartow County Tax records, the home is valued at $250,000.
