What follows is a media release issued by the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office:
According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at approximately 1120 am, Uniform Patrol Deputies and Criminal Investigators responded to the area of Berkley Place SE, Cartersville, Bartow County in reference to a thirteen-year-old juvenile with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Due to the nature of the investigation and a juvenile being involved, no further information will be released at this time.
No foul play is suspected.
