There will be a staged accident scene and a review of the outcomes and consequences of preventable accidents in the Bartow County College and Career Academy Parking lot today.

The first session is at 9:45 a.m., and the second one is at 1:00 p.m.

The entities involved are Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center, in partnership with Bartow College and Career Academy, Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, Bartow County Fire Department, MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service, AirLife Georgia, Bartow County Coroner, and Martin’s Wrecker Service.

Brad Cothran, Emergency Services Liaison, and Jan Tidwell, Chief Nursing Officer from Piedmont Cartersville, will narrate the event.

The goal is to provide students with a realistic overview of what can happen when unintended accidents occur due to driving under the influence. The event takes place before prom season in Bartow County.
