Cartersville, GA — The Rotary Club of Etowah is proud to announce the successful completion of its Rotary District Grant project for the 2024-2025 year, focused on revitalizing two beloved community spaces—Rotary Park and Clarence Benham Park, both pocket parks located in Cartersville.
With support from Rotary District 6910, the club upgraded and improved signage at Rotary Park, replaced aging trees, and provided fresh mulch to both parks. In addition, volunteers pressure-washed hard surfaces to restore and refresh the appearance of the public spaces.
“Both Rotary Park and Clarence Benham Park are popular spots for families with children, and they provide an important social intersection in our community,” said Past President Matt Santini. “By beautifying these parks, we make some wonderful places even more enjoyable for the community, and we promote the positive ideals of Rotary.”
Earlier in 2025, club members were joined by volunteers from the Rotary Club of Cartersville for a community clean-up day. Together, the group tackled the park beautification and also organized a roadside clean-up along Etowah Drive—underscoring Rotary’s continued commitment to service and environmental stewardship.
The Rotary Club of Etowah is committed to making a lasting impact in the community through projects that align with Rotary’s core values: service, fellowship, diversity, integrity, and leadership. The improvements to these parks serve as a testament to the club’s ongoing dedication to enhancing quality of life for Cartersville and Bartow County residents.
The Rotary Club of Etowah meets on Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m. at Noble & Main Coffee Co. in downtown Cartersville. Visitors and prospective members are always welcome. For more information about the Rotary Club of Etowah and future service projects, visit www.etowahrotary.com.
