ATLANTA – State Representative Matthew Gambill (R-Cartersville) was recently appointed to serve as a Floor Leader for Georgia Governor Brian Kemp.  His appointment is for a two-year term concurrent with his service as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives.

“I am honored to be selected.  Working with Governor Kemp and my colleagues in the House to build relationships is something that I have focused on since being elected four years ago. I look forward to serving and continuing to lead in this new role to assist the Governor with his policy initiatives,” said Rep. Gambill.

“I’m proud to announce the dedicated public servants who will serve as my Floor Leaders for the 2023-2024 General Assembly. As we enter my second term, I’m looking forward to working with these Leaders to build on the achievements of the past four years for hardworking Georgians,” said Governor Kemp.

Members of the Floor Leader team are responsible for shepherding legislation as it moves through both chambers of the General Assembly and helping their fellow House and Senate members understand the details of bills and resolutions.

The Floor Leader Team also includes State Representatives Lauren McDonald, R-Cumming, Will Wade, R-Dawsonville; Soo Hong, R-Lawrenceville, and State Senators Bo Hatchett, R-Cornelia, and Mike Hodges, R-Brunswick.
