On Saturday night at 7:10, BCSO deputies were dispatched Planters Drive in Cartersville, in reference to a shooting that just occurred. Upon arrival law enforcement officers waited for backup units due to an active shooter. At that time, a complainant came running out of the residence screaming for help.

While approaching the residence, officers noticed several blood trails and pools of blood on the front steps. Law enforcement entered the threshold of the residence and noticed Jason Mcginnis lying on his back grabbing his legs towards the left in the foyer area.
