At 11:38PM, Bartow County EMS, Bartow County Sheriff’s Officer, Bartow County Fire Department and the Georgia State Patrol responded to a two vehicle accident on Highway 411 just west of Cowan Rd. Bartow County EMS had two units respond initially and a third was sent due to five patients being in the accident.
A child, age 7 years old, was extricated from one of the vehicles. Bartow County EMS had already requested Air-Life be en route for transport. The child was flown to Egleston Children’s Hospital for treatment.
One adult female and two juveniles were pronounced dead on the scene. The fifth patient, an adult male, was transported to the Cartersville Medical Center for chest pains.
