WALESKA, Ga. (October 26, 2026) — Reinhardt University announced two new opportunities designed to make private higher education affordable for low- and middle-income families across seven North Georgia counties. Beginning in Fall 2027, eligible new students can receive one of two transformative scholarships, bringing the benefits of a private higher education to more students.
“More than 140 years ago, Reinhardt was founded on the idea that every young person, regardless of income, deserves quality education. That same sentiment is the driving force behind these new initiatives,” said Mark A. Roberts, Ph.D., president of Reinhardt University. “It is a privilege to be able to offer these significant scholarships to deserving students. We are grateful to our trustees and donors who make opportunities like this possible.”
The Take Flight Scholarship brings the tuition cost to zero for first-time, full-time freshmen with an adjusted gross household income of $70,000 or under, using the FAFSA calculation. Eligibility extends to campus-based undergraduate students who graduated from public or private high schools or qualified home school programs in Bartow, Cherokee, Cobb, Forsyth, Gilmer, Gordon, and Pickens counties with a minimum 3.0 high school grade point average, as calculated by Georgia Futures. After federal grants and state scholarships are applied, Reinhardt covers the remaining tuition costs, allowing students to focus on building a bright future.
The ‘Hardt of America Scholarship lowers standard out-of-pocket tuition costs for new students with an adjusted gross household income between $70,001 and $125,000. All other requirements match those of the Take Flight Scholarship. For the 2027-2028 academic year, eligible students’ out-of-pocket tuition costs would range from $7,900 to $9,900 annually.
Both scholarships continue throughout a four-year, full-time undergraduate enrollment, as long as the student remains eligible.
“While these scholarships show our commitment to our neighboring counties, Reinhardt offers a wide array of additional aid options for all students,” said Mike Floyd, vice president for Enrollment Management and Marketing at Reinhardt University. “We encourage every prospective student to apply early so our team can tailor a personalized eligible financial aid package.”
Beyond financial assistance, Reinhardt University’s low 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio offers an environment that supports both personal and professional growth. Its programs connect students with communities of peers, mentors, and professional networks. With more than 50 degree programs and opportunities for leadership, service, campus involvement, and professional development, Reinhardt students graduate prepared for today’s competitive workforce.
Students who receive these scholarships remain responsible for non-tuition expenses, including housing, meal plans, textbooks, and fees. Applications and all financial aid forms, including the FAFSA, are due by March 1, 2027.
