The upcoming Cartersville area location job training program details are as follows:

Welding (March 18th Start Date): In this 6-to 12-week program, participants prepare for a career in the welding industry. Offered in collaboration with Lanier Technical College and North Georgia Technical College, the program is designed to give participants job-specific, skills-based training and an opportunity to earn industry credentials. Future job opportunities include Welder, Metal Worker, or Machinist.

 

Supply Chain (March 18th Start Date): This 8-week program will prepare participants for a career in the fast-growing industries of supply chain management, transportation, customer service, and warehouse operations. While in the program participants can earn continuing education units from Georgia Tech. Graduates find entry-level jobs as Operations Clerks, Dispatchers, or Logistic Clerks.

 

Forklift (March 18th Start Date): This 2-to 4-week program includes hands-on operation instruction that will prepare participants for employment in the materials, handling, storage, and warehouse industry. Participants will receive comprehensive forklift training materials and soft skills instruction. Graduates of the program go on to positions such as Forklift Operator, Shipping Clerk, as well as Logistics & Supply Chain Management.

 

Medical Billing & Coding: For 14-weeks, this hybrid program will provide participants with the training needed to earn a certification in medical billing and coding. Graduates of this program go on to find jobs in this high-demand career field working as medical billing and coding specialists and health information technicians.
