Issued by the Cartersville Medical Center:
A patient with Ebola-like symptoms did present to the Emergency Department, at which time we conducted appropriate CDC screening, triage and isolation protocols. It was later determined and confirmed that the patient did not have Ebola and the patient was released.
We also received a telephone call yesterday stating a patient with Ebola-like symptoms would be arriving within 10 minutes, however, that was determined to be questionable as we did not receive a patient during that time frame.
