A jury has reached a verdict in a child molestation case involving Jason Barrett.
Judge Nelson read the following in Bartow Superior Court this morning.
(1) “Not” Guilty: counts 1 & 2, both aggravated child molestations;
(2) “Guilty”: count 4 (child molestation), 5 (False Imprisonment), 6 ( battery) & 7, 8 and 9 (all simple battery).
(3) A Directed Verdict of “Not” Guilty for the count 3 offense of child molestation, was entered by the Court at the close of the State case in chief.
Judge Nelson ordered a pre-sentence investigation to be completed and scheduled a tentative sentence hearing date of Tuesday, April 15th, 2014, at 9:00 a.m.
