It took 8 months but a man found guilty of sexual assault was finally sentenced in Bartow Superior Court. A jury heard the state’s case against Donald Scott Wiswall last June. Before the jury could return a verdict Wiswall escaped and fled to Massachusetts. He was found guilty of two counts of aggravated sexual battery, one count of sexual battery, one count of aggravated assault, one count of battery and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was found not guilty of one count of aggravated sexual battery and one count of sexual battery. He received two life sentences, plus 20 years, and five years’ probation.
