The No. 2 ranked Georgia Highlands College Chargers held off the Fort Benning Knights at the Corral and won by a score of 84-67 on Military Appreciation Night. The Chargers jumped out early, building a 22-point lead. The Chargers balanced scoring attack had 5 players in double digits led by Kyvon Davenport’s 19 points and 10 rebounds, Antonio Wade had 16 points, while Ty’lik Evans, Kamar Knight and Rico Bonds had 11.
The Chargers are now 6-0 on the season and return to action on Friday and Saturday at the Corral as they host the Dana Davis Classic. GHC takes on ABI on Friday at 7:30pm, and Middle Georgia on Saturday at 3:00pm
Tomorrow the Georgia Highlands College Women’s basketball team will travel to IMG Academy for a game at 7:00. The Lady Chargers are 2-2 on the young season.
