Three local athletes were honored at the Northwest Atlanta Positive High School Awards, Kylie Knox, a Woodland softball player, Payton Chester, a Cass track and field member, and Austin Cobb, an Adairsville wrestler, all received recognition as a Positive Athlete.
Today in baseball, the Georgia Highlands baseball team has its last series of the regular season, as it will travel to West Georgia Tech for 1:00 game.
Tomorrow in baseball, the Cartersville Purple Hurricanes will travel to Thomson for a doubleheader in the second round of the GHSA AAAA State Playoffs. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 and the second game will follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first.
