The Adairsville softball team swept a doubleheader Monday with against Armuchee by scores of 9-8 and 12-6.

In the opener, Sadye Johnson hit solo homers in the fourth and sixth innings and Havyn Isaac hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning to help lead the Tigers. 

In Game 2, Harris was 4-for-4 with a double and four RBIs. Burrow was 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Sierra Tanner and Johnson (RBI) had two hits each. Victoria O’Neal tossed seven strong innings while striking out six and allowing just one run.

Adairsville is now 7-3 on the season.

 

The Cass softball team dropped a region game to Kell by a score of 8-0 Monday night.

Haley Owens threw two strong innings of relief. She allowed no earned runs in the appearance. Cass is now 1-9 on the season and 0-4 in region play.
