In baseball on Friday, Cartersville fell to Mill Creek on Friday night by a score of 7-0. The Canes are now 4-6 on the season. Woodland also lost its baseball game on Friday night, as they fell to Sequoyah 3-2. The Wildcats now sit at 2-10 on the season and 1-8 in region play. Cass fell to Rome and lost the series Friday night by a score of 3-1. Cass is now 4-7 on the season and 3-3 in region play.

In soccer, the Cartersville boys team beat Ridgeland 9-0 on Friday and improved to 8-2 overall and 4-1 in region play. Cass also had a shutout on Friday, as it beat Creekview 1-0. The Colonels are now 5-3-1 on the season and 1-2 in region play. And the Woodland boys team was shutout Friday evening, as it lost to Sequoyah 4-0. The Cartersville girls soccer team shutout Ridgeland Friday night by a score of 8-0. The Lady Canes are now 9-1 on the season and 5-0 in region play. The Lady Cats fell to Sequoyah 6-1 on Friday and their record now sits at 3-6 on the season and 1-3 in region play. The Cass Lady Colonels also lost Friday night, as they fell to Creekview 4-0. Cass currently sits at 3-7-1 on the season and 0-4 in region play.

In baseball Saturday, the Adairsville beat Sonoraville 16-5. Adairsville is now 6-4 on the season and 3-1 in region play.

At the collegiate level, the Georgia Highlands College baseball team lost to Darton on Saturday by a score of 11-3, but swept them in two games on Sunday by scores of 7-5 and 5-4 to split the series at two games a piece. The Chargers are now 17-15 on the season and 2-2 in GCAA conference play.

Today on the baseball slate, Excel will welcome Kings Ridge at 5:30, Cass will travel to Dalton at 5:55 and Woodland will welcome Creekview at 5:55.

Tomorrow in baseball, Cartersville will travel to Gilmer at 5:30, Excel will welcome Pinecrest at 5:30 and Adairsville will welcome Ringgold at 5:55.

In soccer on Tuesday, Woodland will travel to Darton at 5:30 and the Adairsville girls will welcome Calhoun at 5:30.
