The Georgia Highlands College baseball team evened its season record at 4-4 with a 6-5 win over Bryant & Stratton College to sweep the two-game series Thursday night.

Brandon Bell tripled to lead off the bottom of the seventh with the game tied 5-5. He later scored on an error that resulted from an outfield throw to home after the second out of the inning was recorded. The throw banged off the catcher’s gear and got far enough away from the plate for Bell to score the walk-off run.

Nick Fink homered for the Chargers and Josh Kiser was 3-for-3 with one RBI and a run scored. Britt Buckelew picked up the pitching victory as the pitcher of record in the final inning for Georgia Highlands. Starter Jake Lovvorn threw five strong innings allowing just one earned run received no decision.
