The Adairsville Tigers baseball team clinched the third seed in its region on Thursday night, as it beat Calhoun 5-3. The Tigers made the GHSA State Playoffs, but will have their next test on the road against Dawson County or West Hall next Friday. The Excel baseball team picked up a win in their season finale against St. Anne-Pacelli last night by a score of 10-7. The Eagles finished with a 2-19 mark on the season. The Cass baseball team dropped its regular season finale Thursday night by a score of 3-0 to North Atlanta. Cass finished with a 6-20 mark this season.

The Cartersville boys soccer team improved to 12-4 on the season with a 1 point victory over North Paulding on Thursday. The Cartersville girls were not as fortunate, as the fell to North Paulding by a score of 3-2 and dropped to 9-7 on the season.

Today in baseball, Woodland is scheduled to travel to North Springs to conclude its 2016 season.

Three teams have soccer matches today with the Adairsville boys team traveling to Chattooga at 5:00, Cartersville hosting Northgate at 5:30 and the Adairsville girls will play for the Region 6-AAA Champinship on the road at Sonoraville with that time still to be announced.
