Cartersville junior Trey Creamer was offered a scholarship by the Cincinnati Bearcats on Monday. Creamer already held one scholarship offer from Wake Forest.

Regular season baseball officially starts today for one Bartow County High School. The Cass Colonels open their season at home against Chattahoochee at 5:55.

More on today’s sports slate include two teams hold soccer matches on the road at 5:30. Adairsville will travel to Lumpkin County and Woodland will travel to Paulding County.

The Adairsville Lady Tigers get ready to end their 58-year playoff drought this evening as they will travel on the road to play North Hall in the first round of the AAA state tournament.

Tomorrow in sports, the Georgia Highlands baseball team will host Cleveland State for a doubleheader starting at 3:00. The Chargers are 4-4 on the season and coming off a series against Walters State, in which they were swept.

Tomorrow in soccer, Cartersville will host Darlington at 5:00.

Two local teams have basketball games tomorrow. At the collegiate level, the Georgia Highlands Chargers will take their 25-game winning streak on the road against Chattahoochee Technical College, a team that is 7-7 in the conference and 20-8 overall. Tip is scheduled for 7:00.

Also at 7:00, the No. 1 seeded Cartersville Purple Hurricanes will host St. Pius at the Storm Center in the first round of the AAAA state basketball tournament. You will be able to hear that game live right here on AM 1450 WBHF and on FM 100.3, with pregame starting at 6:45.
