ALL TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2017, SUPERIOR COURT CASES SCHEDULED AT 9 AM AND 1:15 PM, HAVE BEEN CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED

The Bartow County School System will be closed to students and all staff on Monday, September 11th, and Tuesday, September 12th due to the path and tropical force winds of Hurricane Irma.
Cartersville schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, September 11th and Tuesday, September 12th due to the expected inclement weather engulfing much of the state. This closure is for all students and all staff members.
The totality of all available weather information and predictions has been taken into consideration in making this decision as a precaution in the interest of safety for all our students.
The school system wanted to make this decision and inform you as soon as possible so appropriate plans can be made. Please stay safe for the next two days in light of the weather conditions. The school system does plan to reopen on regular schedule on Wednesday.
Due to the inclement weather on the way, some schedule revisions are being made to the trash/recycling pickup. Monday pickup will remain the same as of right now. Tuesday pickup will be canceled and moved to Wednesday. Wednesday will stay the same. Please move your trash receptacles into a closed area during the storm due to the high winds.
Based on severe weather forecasts for our area and the safety of our students and employees, all Georgia Highlands College campuses will be closed on Monday, September 11. Check highlands.edu for updates. Please stay aware of weather conditions in your area and be safe.
All Cartersville City Park and Recreation activities are canceled for Monday. Tuesday’s activities will be determined on Monday.
Due to the potential for inclement weather, City of Emerson offices will be closed Monday, September 11, 2017. The City Council meeting for Monday is rescheduled for Tuesday, September 12th at 7:00 PM.
It is with deep sadness that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the 2017 March to the Mountain 9/11 Memorial walk due to the threat of inclement weather. We have been advised by our county leaders that harsh weather is very likely in our area, and public safety is our main concern. We are working quickly to notify each of our registrants, volunteers, and sponsors of this change, and would greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word.
The Trinity School of Cartersville will be closed Monday and Tuesday, due to the expected weather implications of Irma. Regular hours are expected to resume Wednesday.
The Bartow History Museum, Booth Western Art Museum, Grand Theater, Teacher Resource Center and Tellus Science Museum will all be closed on Monday, due to inclement weather.
Due to Hurricane Irma, all Chattahoochee Technical College Campuses have been closed and all classes and activities are canceled for Monday, September 11th, and Tuesday, September 12th.
Reinhardt University will be closed Monday, September 11th, due to the potential impacts Hurricane Irma may bring.
Due to the impending threats from Hurricane Irma, all Northwest Public Health Offices including the District office will be closed Monday, September 11th, and Tuesday, September 12th.
The City of Adairsville is closing today at 2:00 p.m. and Municipal Court is being canceled, all cases will be transferred to the October 9th Court Session at 3:00 p.m.
The Bartow County Courthouse will close at 2:00 Monday, September 11th due to the threat of inclement weather from Tropical Storm Irma. Employees will return to work Tuesday for regular hours.
The City of Cartersville Customer Service office will close at 2:00 PM today due to the inclement weather. Also, the Board of Zoning and Appeals meeting is canceled for tonight. The Electric System will have a crew ready tonight to respond to downed lines, life safety items only. Please be safe and stay inside if possible.
The Bartow County Library System will close at 2:00 PM as per the Bartow County Government Offices.
