Press Release:     Adairsville Police Officer Cody Jones has discovered a large cache of drugs on a traffic stop recently. On Jan. the 30th 2019 Officer Jones made a traffic stop in the area of Hwy. 140 at Georgia North Circle. This was done due to the car passing through a red light whereas Officer Jones observed the violation. After some investigation it was discovered the driver, Mrs. Amanda Patterson was driving on a suspended license. It was also learned that the passenger, Mr. Jerry Stutte, was licensed and had knowledge that Mrs. Patterson was operating the vehicle on a suspended license. Officers noticed both subjects were acting more nervous than typically seen during the first few minutes of the interaction.

     Both parties were placed under arrest and the officers began to inventory the vehicle prior to a tow truck arriving. A large container of over 300 grams of Methamphetamine, several syringes, and over $760 of cash money were located inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Once arriving at the jail, Mr. Stutte was also found to have several bags of suspected heroin concealed inside his underwear along with another bag of suspected Methamphetamine. A small orange pill, identified as a schedule 3 drug Buprenorphine, was also found inside his underwear.

     Mr. Stutte and Mrs. Patterson were booked into the Bartow county jail and face numerous charges:

Trafficking Methamphetamine.

Possession of Methamphetamine.

Possession of Drug Related Objects.

Mr. Stutte’s Charges:

Trafficking Methamphetamine.

Possession of Methamphetamine.

Possession of Drug Related Objects.

Knowingly Permitting a Unlicensed Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle.

Crossing the Guard line with drugs

Possession of Heroin.

Possession of schedule 3 drug.
