6/10/2024 – At approximately 6:59 p.m. Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services were dispatched to 12 Sunset Ter., S.W. Cartersville to a report of a residential structure fire. The caller advised that the house was on fire. BCFES crews arrived to find a single-family home with smoke showing from the front door. Once crews were able to extinguish the fire, a fire investigator was called to the scene. The cause of the fire was deemed accidental. The home received major damage. There were no injuries reported.

Sunday, June 9, was extremely busy for Bartow Fire and Emergency Services crews.  Crews were dispatched to 61 Holt Road at 4:20 p.m. to a report of a structure fire. The caller advised that their chicken houses were on fire. Crews arrived on scene to find a large chicken house with smoke and flames showing. Once crews could extinguish the fire, a fire investigator was called to the scene. The cause of the fire was deemed accidental. The chicken house was a total loss. There were no injuries reported.

At approximately 5:39 p.m. Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services Crews, along with the City of Cartersville Fire Department were dispatched to 111 Woodsong CourtCartersville to a report of a residential structure fire. The caller advised that the neighbor’s house was on fire. Crews arrived on scene to find a single-wide mobile home with smoke showing. Once crews were able to extinguish the fire, a fire investigator was called to the scene. The cause of the fire remains investigation. The home received moderate damage. There were no injuries reported.

Crews were called back out Monday at approximately 2:08 a.m. for a house fire.  Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services were dispatched to 6366 Patricia Drive, Acworth to a report of a residential structure fire. The caller advised that the house was on fire. BCFES crews arrived on scene to find a single-story single-family home with smoke showing. Once crews were able to extinguish the fire, a fire investigator was called to the scene. The cause of the fire was deemed accidental. The home received minor damage. There were no injuries reported.
