The Cartersville Purple Hurricanes (3-0) defeated the Alexander Cougars (2-1) 35-3 on Friday night to extend its regular-season winning streak to 61 games.

Cartersville was led by running back Quante Jennings, who had four, rushing touchdowns in the contest. Jennings scored twice in the first quarter, once in the second quarter, and once in the third quarter. Jennings had 77 yards rushing in the first half alone. His scores were three, two, seven, and 29 yards, respectively.

Amari White had a 12-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter.

The Cartersville defense allowed a field goal in the third quarter, which was the result of a five-minute drive by the Cougars. The Cartersville defense held strong inside the 10-yard line and did not allow the Cougars to score.
