CARTERSVILLE, GA-JUNE 7TH: The 7th Annual Advocates Flowering Branch Children’s Shelter Ride hosted by the Iron Order will be held this Saturday, June 7, 2014.

 

The event will begin with a 9:00am breakfast and registration at the Advocates Flowering Branch Children’s Shelter, 49 Monroe Crossing. Breakfast will be served until 10:00am. Kickstands will go up at 11:00am for an approximate two hour ride around scenic Bartow County and north Georgia.

 

Cost for bike riders is $10.00 per person, $5.00 for passengers. Riders may register in advance by calling 770.387.1143 or they may register on site at the Flowering Branch the morning of the event.

 

The ride will conclude at Harley Davidson of Cartersville, where a daylong celebration will begin including food, music, adult beverages, a live auction, raffle and contests. This year, a 2003 100th Anniversary Harley Davidson 883 Sportster will be raffled off during the event. All proceeds from the ride will help to sponsor summer and extracurricular activities for the children of Advocates Flowering Branch Children’s Shelter.

 

In 2013 the ride provided funds for the children of the Shelter to go tubing in Helen, Georgia, Six Flags over Georgia, attend movies at the local movie theater, baseball games just to name a few of the fun activities sponsored by this event.

 

Bikers and non-bikers are encouraged to attend this event to help continue to

provide safety, comfort and hope to the children of Bartow County.
