A three-vehicle accident shuts down Highway 41 and sends one person to the hospital with serious injuries.  Several lanes of travel were shut down near Clear Creek Elementary School early Tuesday morning; according to preliminary reports, the accident occurred on Highway 41, north of Griffin Road. The initial investigation revealed that a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling north on Highway 41 in the right lane. A Nissan Venza was traveling north beside the motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle made an improper lane change into the left lane, striking the Venza on the passenger side with its left side. The driver of the motorcycle lost control and the motorcycle began to overturn. The motorcycle then struck a Toyota Tundra on the rear left side that was also traveling north in the right line on the highway. The driver of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was transported for medical treatment. Further investigation is being conducted by the Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team.
