Press Release: Free looks to modernize practices and improve the level of service of Coroner’s OfficeEuharlee, GA: Long-time Bartow County resident Greg Free has announced his candidacy for the May 2020 Primary Election for the office of Bartow County Coroner. Greg is running his campaign on a platform of compassionate service, fiscal responsibility, honesty, and accountability to the citizens of Bartow County. Said Free,” Our Coroners Office should be a voice for those that can no longer speak for themselves while helping the ones left behind get the answers and closure they deserve. With 20 years of being involved in the funeral service profession, I know first hand the dedication and trust it takes to care for our citizens and help them navigate one of the worst times of their lives when they have experienced a loss” Greg has lived most of this life in Bartow County, having graduated from Cass High School. He later attended Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta and graduated with an Associate of Science in Funeral Service. He currently holds a license as a Funeral Director and Embalmer with the State of Georgia. Having 20 years experience in Funeral Service with many of those in management, Greg has had a oppportunty to lead teams on both a local and regional level. Greg holds the Certified Funeral Service Practicioner Designation with the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. He also is a Team Member with Kenyon International, an organization that specializes in mass fatality disaster response both in the United States and around the world. He currently serves as General Manager of a Funeral Home and Cemetery in Marietta. “ I look forward to earning the trust of those in our County and showcasing my ability to lead not only with a proven business leadership mindset, but also compassion, dedicaton, integrity and a servant’s heart.” Said Free. Greg and his wife currently live in Euharlee with their two daughters and attend LifePoint Church in Cartersville.
