An eight-year-old child was killed in a car accident, Monday, May 4, 2026. According to reports with the Georgia State Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 3:42 p.m., when a 2008 Dodge Charger was traveling northbound on Amberidge Drive at the same time a child was sliding down a private driveway on a sled. According to the report, the driver of the Charger was under the influence. The driver turned left into a private drive and struck the pedestrian with the undercarriage of the truck.
