A Georgia Senate panel approved a Republican-Drawn congressional district map this afternoon. This Map was first revealed on Wednesday, just 25 hours before the vote took place.

A previously proposed map showed roughly half of Bartow County as part of Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, which is currently represented by Marjorie Taylor Greene. This new map keeps all of Bartow in the 11th District, currently represented by Barry Loudermilk.

The Senate is expected to debate this map, which has the potential to increase Republicans’ majority in Georgia’s congressional delegation, on Friday.
