The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) is placing project information for review and feedback into an internet platform and at an in-person Public Hearing Open House (PHOH) to allow the public to review and comment on the proposed project.

The project proposes to provide a direct connection from US 411 to I-75 in Bartow County.  The project, known as the Rome-Cartersville Development Corridor (RCDC), would provide improved mobility for commuters, residents, and freight movement throughout Floyd and Bartow counties.

The purpose of this PHOH is to provide the public with an opportunity to view the Environmental Assessment (EA) and the project layouts, ask questions, and comment on the project. Relocation assistance will be discussed at the Open House.

At this PHOH, project handouts will be provided to attendees, and the project environmental documents and engineering layouts will be available. Attendees will be able to ask questions of project staff and submit comments. A court reporter will be available at the meeting to allow individuals an opportunity to make verbal comments about the project. Materials and project personnel will include Spanish language support. The in-person PHOH will be held on September 8, 2022, at the Bartow County College and Career Academy, located at 738 Grassdale Road NW, Cartersville, GA 30121 from 4-7 pm. There will be no formal presentation.  Drop by any time between 4 pm and 7 pm to speak one-on-one with project staff. A live virtual 2-hour Question and Answer session will be held on September 1, 2022, from 1-3 pm. Please visit https://rcdc-0013238-gdot.hub.arcgis.com/ for more information.
