GDOL will host recruitments for Randstad and Waffle House in Marietta next week

ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) Cobb-Cherokee Career Center will help two companies hire more than 250 workers over a two-day period. The events will be held at the career center located at 465 Big Shanty Road in Marietta.

On Thursday, July 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Randstad will be recruiting 200 warehouse associates, 30 forklift operators and five inventory control employees.

Due to U. S Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED), is required.

Applicants for the inventory control position must have at least two years of related experience and be able to drive a forklift. All applicants must be able to work weekends and over time.

Salaries for the warehouse associates begin at $9.50 an hour, forklift operators range from $13-$15 an hour and inventory control employees range from $11.50-$14 an hour. Employee benefits for the inventory control employees include paid time off and medical benefits.

Prior to that, Waffle House will be recruiting for six grill cooks and 16 food servers on Wednesday, July 26, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

All applicants must be at least 16 years old.

Applicants must be able to work 15 hours a week. Employee benefits include paid time off, dental, vision and health insurance.
