ATLANTA — The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help BFS USA recruit a number of workers for its manufacturing facility under construction in Bartow County. The plant will manufacture cushion vinyl flooring when it begins production, which is scheduled for next spring.

The recruitment will be held Wednesday, September 23, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bartow County/Cartersville Chamber of Commerce at 122 West Main St. in Cartersville. GDOL staff will be available to assist the job seekers with company applications and screen the applicants for the employer.

The company is recruiting for the following positions: colorist, computer and information system specialist, controller goods entry specialist, industrial maintenance electrician, environmental health and safety manager, foreman, industrial maintenance mechanic, planner, printing operator and skilled machine operator.

After qualified applicants are selected, they will be required to participate in a two-hour training and testing program to be scheduled by the employer. Those who complete the program will then have an in-depth hiring interview with the company.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old.
