Jakob Foss threw three touchdowns against Carrollton on Friday night, but the Trojans ended up downing the Wildcats 47-20.
Carrollton jumped out to a 21-0 lead before Foss found Justice Carter for a 41-yard touchdown pass. Following a 2-point conversion by Titus Jones, the Wildcats trailed just 21-8. Brandon Marenco would score his second of four touchdowns in the game to extend Carrollton’s lead to 28-8. Woodland would fight back with Foss tossing a 15-yard pass to Jones, but a blocked PAT would bring the score to 28-14 at the half.
Carrollton would score three more times before Woodland found the end zone again on a 42-yard pass from Foss to Jones, but the damage had already been done. Marenco would score once more in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach with a 9-yard scamper.
Woodland is now 4-3 on the season and 2-3 in region play. The Wildcats have a bye next week before playing at Villa Rica on October 19th.
