We have more information about an accident that claimed the life of a Cartersville woman Thursday. Thirty four year old, Candace Redd of Cartersville died in the crash that occurred at approximately 3:55 p.m. According to Georgia State Patrol Reports, a 2009 Nissan Altima driven by Redd was traveling south on Griffin Road, north of Law Road. Meanwhile, a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country driven by 83 year old Tommy Estell of Cartersville was traveling NW on Griffin Road. The Nissan crossed the center line in a curve and struck the Town and Country’s left front with the Nissan’s left front. The Town and Country was knocked off of the roadway to the right and the Nissan was facing northwest in the southwest travel lane. The driver of the Nissan was deceased upon the investigating trooper’s arrival. The occupants of the Town and Country were transported to Kennestone. The accident is still under investigation.
