 Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force K-9 Deputy arrested a subject wanted in numerous jurisdictions Tuesday afternoon.

             According to Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force Commander Mark Mayton the DTF K-9 Deputy stopped a vehicle on Interstate 75 around 2:00pm for traffic violations. After stopping the vehicle the Deputy learned that driver, Rodney Joe Oliver, was wanted by several law enforcement agencies for various offenses including resisting arrest.  Oliver was taken into custody and transported to the Bartow County Jail for various traffic violations including driving with a suspended license in addition to probation violation.  The other law enforcement agencies were notified of Oliver’s arrest.   

                Sheriff Millsap and Chief Culpepper said that at this time the following agencies have indicated they have criminal arrest warrants for Oliver: Gordon County Sheriff’s Office/Fairmont Police Department, Cobb County Sheriff’s Office, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, and Orange County Florida.

 Oliver is charged with the following offenses:

 

  1. Rodney Joe Oliver, 30 years old of 193 Salacoa Road Fairmount Georgia is charged with driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain lane, tail light requirement, cancelled registration, no insurance, open container, removing a tag to conceal identity, state probation violation, resisting arrest (Gordon County SO/Fairmount PD), probation violation (Cobb County SO), probation violation (Orange County SO Florida), and failure to appear (Henry County SO).
