Euharlee, Ga. – On Friday, September 13, 2024, at approximately 9:00pm the Bartow County 911 Center began receiving multiple calls of shots fired in the area of Linda Road in Euharlee, Georgia.
As Euharlee Police officers arrived, a caller reported a male had forced his way into their home on Linda Road by breaking through a front glass window and was in their bathroom, injured.
Officers made entry into the home and located 38-year-old Jose Miguel Romero of Euharlee who was suffering from multiple lacerations he received while entering the home.
During our investigation it was determined Mr. Romero was the person that had been firing the gun in the area and was the only person involved in this incident. His motive is unknown.
Mr. Romero was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Mr. Romero has been charged with reckless conduct (misdemeanor), discharging of firearms on or near a public street (misdemeanor) and criminal damage to property (felony) and will be transferred to the Bartow County Jail pending his release from the hospital.
