The Euharlee Police Department responded to multiple calls to shots fired in the of Linda Road around 7:00 Friday evening. WBHF spoke to Euharlee Police Chief Jody Matthews who stated as officers responded there was another call of shots being fired in front of houses.
“As they were arriving on scene, we got a call from a residence where a person went through the front window of the residence and was in the bathroom. The person was later identified as the suspect firing the shots,” Matthews told WBHF.
He said no one was injured other than the suspect, who had multiple lacerations and has been transported to the hospital.
“It is believed there are intoxicants on board and also a psychological episode. The suspect stated someone was chasing him, which is why he was firing the shots.”
The scene is safe and there are no other suspects. This is an ongoing investigation.
