Sunday evening at 5:48pm BCEMS responded off of Euharlee Rd to a male subject that had been burn attempting to light a cooking grill. Upon EMS arrival the crew found a 16 year old male conscious and alert with burns to the face. The crew quickly assessed the patient and requested a medical helicopter be enroute for transport to a burn center. The BCEMS crew continued treatment of the patient and found the patient to have 2nd degree burns to the face, chest and abdomen. Air life 5 landed and assisted with the treatment until lift off from the scene. The hospital of destination was unknown to EMS upon Air life’s departure from the scene.
