A fiery accident on Friday afternoon led to a long delay on I-75 northbound just south of Adairsville.
The driver of a vehicle in the middle lane lost control. The vehicle rotated counterclockwise in front of a vehicle in the left lane and off the west side. That vehicle struck the face of a guardrail and reentered the travel lanes.
The other vehicle’s driver swerved to the right to avoid striking the first vehicle, traveled across all interstate lanes, and hit the face of the guardrail off the east side. That vehicle also reentered the interstate and struck the first vehicle in the middle lane after that one reentered.
The first vehicle became fully engulfed by fire. Luckily, everyone escaped without injuries.
