An Amber alert issued on Wednesday for the Bartow County two year old, William Stover, led to the arrest of Samantha Barrett. Barrett allegedly drove off with the child when the child mother, Kristen Howard went into a store. The child was returned safely to his mother, only to be put in the custody of the Department of Family and Children Services. This was after the mother, Kristen Howard, admitted during a juvenile court hearing that she had been using drugs with the woman accused of taking her son.
A hearing is set for later this month with DFCS concerning the custody of William. The childs father is currently incarcerated.
