Congressman Barry Loudermilk received suspicious packages at three of his offices Tuesday (offices in Woodstock, the Galleria and Washington D.C.).  The plain unmarked envelopes contained standard tea bags.  It is standard procedure to report all suspicious objects or mail to Capitol police.  A spokesperson with Loudermilk’s office said, “At this time, we do not feel this presents a significant security threat to our office; however, we are exercising out of an abundance of caution and allowing the FBI to investigate the matter.”

Other Congressmen also received tea bags in the mail.  Some were received, April 1st, April Fool’s Day.
