The City of Cartersville is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Storey as Electric Director,
following a recommendation from the City Manager.
Mr. Storey brings more than 25 years of dedicated service to the City’s Electric System and has most
recently served as Interim Electric Director and Distribution Supervisor. In that role, he has overseen line
crews, managed daily operations, and supported budgeting and long-term system planning.
Over the course of his career, Tim advanced through the ranks from Apprentice Lineman to department
leadership, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and reliable service.
His extensive hands-on experience and leadership abilities have earned him the respect and trust of
colleagues throughout the organization.
As Distribution Supervisor, Tim led electric line crews, ensured safety compliance, coordinated system
maintenance and planning eKorts, and contributed to improvements in operational eKiciency. His
experience also includes system operations management, crew training, and infrastructure
development. In addition, he has completed formal training through programs such as the Electric
Cities of Georgia Lineman School and other leadership development initiatives.

choice to lead our Electric Department,” said City Manager Dan Porta. “He understands our system from
the ground up and is committed to providing safe, reliable, and eKicient service to our community.”
Tim Storey’s appointment as Electric Director reflects the City’s continued commitment to strong
leadership and the delivery of high-quality utility services to Cartersville residents and businesses.
