ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) and the Cherokee Office of Economic Development will co-sponsor the Cherokee County Expo Wednesday, March 25. It will be held from 2-5 p.m. in the Cherokee County Conference Center at 1130 Bluff Parkway in Canton.

The expo will provide employers in the area with opportunities to recruit qualified and skilled employees. And, the expo will give jobseekers chances to meet reputable employers and expand their career options.

More than 25 employers are expected to participate in the expo, all of which are well-established Cherokee County employers primarily in manufacturing, medical, and government. They include: Aramark, Awnex, Belnick, Chart Industries, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department, Cobblestone Mills FactoryMation, Go Plastics, Inalfa, Morrison Products, Northside Hospital, Pilgrim’s Pride, Pillow Perfect, Piolax, ProLogic ITS, Raydeo Enterprises, RBC Aero Components, RoyTec Industries, Schoen Insulation Services, Southeast Restorations, Stag Enterprises, Transtechnik, UAC, and the City of Woodstock police and fire departments.

Jobseekers are encouraged to bring resumes, be prepared to talk with employers, and dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for employment.
