All charges have been dropped against a man charged with strong-arm rape and child molestation. According to court documents, charges against 74-year-old, Robert Edward Dillen were officially dropped on May 15, 2026, due to his death. The documents do not state the circumstances of his death. Dillen was arrested back in 2022 and charged with charged with terroristic threats and acts, false imprisonment, five counts of child molestation, two counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes, rape strong arm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. According to the warrant, between January 1, 2021, and August 4, 2022, Dillen raped a child under the age of 16 at his home on Sugar Valley Road. Dillen entered a plea of not guilty. The Bartow County Grand Jury returned a true bill of indictment. He was released on a $30,000 bond in 2023 and ordered to wear a wrist monitor.
