The Cass Colonels (5-5, 3-4) season came to an end on Friday night, when they CassColonelsFBhelmetfell to the Forsyth Central Bulldogs (6-4, 5-3) by a score of 27-14 on Friday evening. The Canes were unable to secure a winning season in head coach Bobby Hughes’ first season, but the season should not be considered a failure by any means. The Colonels beat the Bulldogs earlier in the 2014 season, but were unable to beat them the second time around. Forsyth Central jumped up to a 14-0 lead in the first half, but the Colonels battled back and tied the game just before halftime after Keelin Wilky had two touchdown scampers to tie the game at 14. Unfortunately the Colonels would not be able to find the endzone again for the rest of the evening, while Forsyth Central would tack on two more scores to upend the Colonels, who were playing on the road.
