The Cass Colonels dominated the Adairsville Tigers, showcasing brilliance on both offense and defense in a commanding 48-0 road victory.

Cass started with possession but struggled to find rhythm on their opening drive. Undeterred, their defense ignited the game. Naz Fleurine snagged an Adairsville pass and sprinted 50 yards for a pick-six, vaulting Cass to a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter.

The Colonels kept their foot on the gas, recovering a squib kick on the ensuing kickoff. Though their next drive fizzled, they maintained control. After a stretch of scoreless play, Brodie McWhorter fired a crisp touchdown pass, stretching Cass’s lead to 14-0 with 11:48 left in the second quarter.

Moments later, Kalil Charles powered through for a 25-yard rushing touchdown, boosting the Colonels’ advantage to 21-0 with under five minutes remaining in the half. Adairsville’s offense couldn’t find traction against Cass’s relentless defense, and the Colonels marched into halftime with a commanding 21-0 lead.

The third quarter erupted with Cass’s defense striking again, snaring their second interception of the night. Capitalizing on the turnover, Charles bulldozed his way to his second rushing touchdown, pushing the score to 28-0 with 10:38 left in the third. The Colonels’ defense wasn’t done, intercepting a slant pass and setting up their offense for another score. Cass responded with their third rushing touchdown, extending the lead to 35-0 with 8:42 to go in the quarter.

Far from coasting, Cass’s offense stayed electric. McWhorter unleashed a 60-yard touchdown pass, rocketing the Colonels to a 42-0 lead with 4:38 left in the third. Early in the fourth, Charles capped his stellar night with his fourth rushing touchdown, a 24-yard burst to the endzone, making it 48-0 after a missed extra point. With a running clock in effect, this sealed the scoring, and Cass walked away with an emphatic 48-0 triumph.
Next week, the Cass Colonels head to Kennesaw to battle the North Cobb Warriors, while the Adairsville Tigers stay home to face the Woodland Wildcats.
