The Cartersville City Schools Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, July 12, 2021.

During the Business Session the Board approved the following:

 

-To reject the CMS Cafeteria Furniture Bid received May 11, 2021 from School and Office Supply, Knoxville, Tennessee in the amount of $73,847.00 because the scope of the project was changed.

 

-To reject the CMS Floor Covering Bids RFP 0330-0401-142 on April 30, 2021, received from Jostes Carpet, Inc., LaFayette, GA, in the amount of $18,174.58 and Atlanta Tile and Masonry, Stone Mountain, Georgia, in the amount of $24,900.00.

 

-Ratification of approval to purchase the following from Ernie Morris Enterprises, Inc., Bushnell Florida for

Cartersville Middle School.  Both purchases to be paid from SPLOST and come from The Interlocal Purchasing System

Contract (TIPS).

– Media Center furniture in the amount of $73,050.09

– Cafeteria furniture in the amount of $51,648.03

 

-Shaw Contract Flooring Services, Inc. d/b/a Spectra Contract Flooring, Norcross Georgia, for the installation of floor covering in the Cartersville Middle School Media Center at a cost of $20,527.00.  This purchase is coming from the State Contract.

 

-Resolution between the City of Cartersville and Cartersville City School System to execute the First Amendment to Intergovernmental Agreement regarding the development of the East Main Street TAD.

Finance Committee recommendation:

The Board approved the recommendation to the City of Cartersville the rollback millage rate of 13.906 provided there is no significant change to the preliminary digest of $1,201,749,188.
