Cartersville School Board Meeting Notes:
FY21 Band Instrument Purchase:
The following vendors were approved for Cartersville High and Cartersville Middle School musical instrument purchases. All items are low bid as specified and will be paid from SPLOST:
-Washington Music Center in the amount of $16,567.70.
-Taylor Music Inc. in the amount of $15,550.00.
–National Educational Music Company in the amount of $7,383.69.
Revised School Calendar:
The Board approved the FY21 Revised School Calendar.
Accelerate Education:
The Board approved a license agreement between K-5 Accelerate Education and the Cartersville City School System at a cost of $73,880.
Edgenuity:
The Board approved a license agreement between Edgenuity, Inc. (grades 6-12) and Cartersville City School System at a cost of $58,200.
Finance Committee Recommendations:
A second public meeting for the 2020-2021 Tentative Budget was opened for discussion.
FY 2021 Budget
The Board approved the FY 2021 Consolidated Budget in the amount of $58,595,993.
Millage Rate
The Board approved to recommend to the City of Cartersville the millage rate of 14.576 provided there is not significant change to the preliminary digest of 1,208,712,873.
Personnel Recommendations:
Resignations
The Board approved acceptance of the following resignation:
-Laura Huth, CMS Teacher, retirement, with regret, effective August 1, 2020.
